Puppy Adoption Information

All of our pups are already spayed/neuter before placement. All our puppies are up to date on vaccines and health tested/screened.

We try to have puppies that well represent the standard. We love a solid topline, good movement, nice silky coat texture, and a gorgeous head with nice little ears. We only breed after great research of lines, and health tested to be sure we are producing sound yorkies. We only breed when we want a show baby for ourself first, so we do not have litters all the time. Our goal is Not to provide the pet population with puppies, since there are so many substandard yorkies out there. Instead want to keep the standard quality high and our dogs healthy, sound, and happy. It is all about quality, not quantity!

When you contact us, please let us know a little about yourself and your family! We do have strict guidelines of where we will place our pups. We want them to go to loving caring homes in which they will live out a happy life as a member of their family. Our puppies have gone to wonderful people over the past 30 years, such as retired couples, 2 attorneys, secretary to a State Governor, a State Representative and his wife, socialites,  families with older children, empty nesters, head of companies, a McDonald's owner, several doctors, teachers, an author, interior designer, and artists. Everyone are great parents and I get some photos and updates on past puppies.

We only have AKC yorkies! We only use AKC registrations (only purebred registry out there in the United States). We breed to the standard and will never have tri-color parti yorkies, since they are really a mixed breed in my opinion and the research I have done to find the truth. The reason I believe this is because I have never in 30 years of breeding ever had a parti born in any of my litters! Never! And never have my close friends that breed yorkies. It was not uncommon back in the 70s and 80s for people that had yorkies also had malteses, so my theory is that a maltese got in the mix to create a parti. Often parti breeders will charge a lot for these mixed breed dogs and will tell they are pure yorkie to sell these pups. If one really cares about this breed - they will keep the yorkie to continue to look like a yorkie. Parti (tri color look) can never be shown in the ring, thus making it substandard (below the standard quality).

All my yorkies live in our home, not in kennels. All have been health tested. We show our dogs, to prove their quality and make sure that what we breed is worth breeding. I want to make sure we have a professional exam my dogs, to get an unbias opinion. If one cares about the breed - all breeders will do this and in AKC shows where there is more stringent competition and professional judges to judge our dogs. Also in AKC shows - it is a lot harder to earn their championships -  due to quality of the ones competing is often higher and each is competing against one another. We then show to make sure we are doing all we can to preserve and protect the breed, which we love so dearly.
